A dub working as a stock broker, that's interesting. I would think there would be too many conflicts of interest for a dub to be a good broker. Anyway I think it is dangerous to give anyone advise on the market. I would feel bad if they lost a lot of money.

Stock Market and The Elder
by Apostanator ini had some money to invest back around 1999. an elder from my old congregation worked at morgan stanley, he recomended to me a stock named delphi.
this was a relatively new issue back then and he said it was a good stock with a good dividend.
i did not buy it because my gut feeling was telling me that he was pushing the stock and was in it for the commision.

In 1918 Jesus arrived and found that the JWs were the only ones who were dispensing the proper spiritual food to his sheep. They said 1918 was crucial because it was three and a half years after 1914. Apparently three and a half years is significant because that's how long Jesus waited to return to his cleansed temple or something like that.
And look at the food they were slopping (dispensing) on the table at that time. His coming was so clear they were still teaching he came in 1874 twenty years later.
As for the 3 1/2 years I guess there was a lot of paperwork involved in firing everyone else.

Pease explain the ulterior motives you fear. The truth should be able to overcome any trap set by an unbeliever. Usually what you get when you ask a JW for proof that the WT is God's organization is: "Because Christ came back in 1914 look at all the religions and chose us." Then if you ask how them know he came back in 1914 they point to WT eschatology as proof. In other words: How do you know Christ came back in 1914? Because the WT says he did. How do you know the WT knows what it is talking about? Because when Christ came back he annointed the WT as the only organization he speaks through. How can you argue that? Circular reasoning at its finest!

married to a jw.didnt believe in there teachings for many years.. looked and read at your site for along time.
its one of the best.iam not very good at typing or spelling.and cyber communication.. hard to have a marriage when one believes and the other one doesnt.we were both raised jws .but i changed and she didnt.. common story.too years to learn to think for myself.

Last Friday my wife and I had prime rib at The Old Shipyard an English Pub in Santa Ana, CA which is an odd enough place for anything English. One of the best prime ribs we ever had and only $20. We both took 1/2 of it home with us. You guys are making me hungry.

No, there were a few obsticles there:
1) I'm married
2) she was about 25 years younger than me.
There were some other ones but after the first 2 the others don't much matter.

Yup, Starbucks offers Free Wireless Internet, you wouldn't believe how much time we waste there simply because we can. Ya, its a beautiful day outside. I should be heading for the beach or at least the gym but here I sit. I'm at a place called Kaffa, the Starbucks a block away will be my next adventure.
